We are looking forward to connecting with you at our virtual zoom LVA 2020 AGM this coming Saturday, June 13th at 9:00am. We are fortunate to have both her Worship, Mayor Karin Terziano and Dr. Norman Yan as guest panelists, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions or make comments during the meeting. If you have not already done so, please register for the event, and you will be sent a link to join the session. Feel free to share the link with family and friends around Lake Vernon so that they can also attend. Here is the registration link for easy reference: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_MwZvRTrcSf2SaIELQgaYig
Here is a bit of information to assist you, in case you are not familiar with zoom. If you have not previously used zoom, you may want to check out this helpful video before Saturday: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-Joining-a-Meeting Depending on the type of device that you are using, you may need to download the free zoom app in advance. The meeting will be available for you to join from 8:45am to allow time to get settled in before the meeting starts at 9:00am. Shawn Gibson, a Board Member, will be available by phone to assist you, should you have any difficulties joining the session. Shawn can be reached at: 1-519-870-9133 or at firstname.lastname@example.orgYour microphone and video will be turned off when you join, but you will be able to comment, ask questions, and vote during the session. We will provide you with some tips at the beginning of the AGM to optimize your experience (sorry, no Tawingo cookies). If, for some reason, you are not able to join us for the meeting, do not stress. We will send you a link to the recorded session afterward so that you can watch at your leisure.
For your reference, please find attached the minutes from the 2019 LVA AGM. While it is not necessary to read these in advance, we will be asking for two individuals to accept them as accurate during the session. As well, we have a new Membership Chair nominee, John MacLennan (see info. below), and we will be asking for attendees to support his appointment to this role.
