Welcome to Majestic Lake Vernon

The first and largest of a three-lake chain surrounding Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, Lake Vernon is a truly majestic Muskoka setting for quiet enjoyment of all nature has to offer.  Boasting an abundant variety of plant, fish and wildlife, Lake Vernon retains much of its original natural landscape, with significant portions of undeveloped shoreline.

The Lake Vernon Association (LVA) is a local, not-for-profit, non-political association made up of property owners from the area surrounding Lake Vernon.  Its mission is to protect the natural environment, health and beauty of Lake Vernon and address issues affecting its membership and their quality of life.

If you are not already a LVA Member, we invite you to Join Us
today.  Benefits include our regular See Shore Newsletter, special bulletins as issues arise, and an invitation to our annual general meeting, and the satisfaction of knowing you are doing your part to preserve Lake Vernon for generations to come.

- LVA Signage - August 25, 2010
You may be interested in the initiative by the Lake Vernon Association (LVA) to introduce signs at 4 places around the lake. The photo below of Tracey Rast, Chair of the Environmental Committee of the LVA, and Ian Hastie, President of the LVA, was taken at the boat launch site at Peacock Bay Road. Other signs will be erected at Hutcheson Beach, Avery Beach and on the Canada trail beside KWH pipe. The signs include a map and are informative about features of the lake. Their intent is also to protect the lake from invasive species and to educate about shoreline development. - LVA
